The University of Calgary has introduced two new graduate-level certificates in cybersecurity—the Certificate in Network Security and Certificate in Software Security. UCalgary states that the Certificate in Network Security will benefit IT professionals who operate or improve network environments. “Network security specialists are in high demand across every industry to help identify and mitigate threats to organizations,” said program director Philip Fong. The Certificate in Software Security teaches students how to develop secure programs. It also provides practical experience with threat modelling, security design, and security assessment skills.
