York University’s Schulich School of Business has announced its participation in an initiative to help local retailers weather the COVID-19 pandemic. Delivered in partnership with the City of Toronto and a team of global technology companies, the initiative will create summer “work-integrated learning” placements for 50 Schulich students. Students will receive additional specialized training on leading digital platforms such as Shopify, Facebook/Instagram, and Google. The students will be assigned to Toronto small businesses and artists to help them move their businesses online at no cost. “We know our students will work with passion, focus and creativity in this important placement opportunity,” said Schulich Entrepreneur in Residence Chris Carder.
