Canadore College and the Toronto Film School have signed an agreement to work together and address a film and television sector labour shortage in Northern Ontario. The partnership will provide more educational opportunities to students, while supporting Canadore in meeting industry needs in the North and ensuring graduates are ready to begin working as soon as they graduate. “The college responds to the needs of industry in Northern Ontario and provides students who are ready, willing, and – most importantly – able to fill those gaps,” said Canadore president George Burton. “This memorandum of understanding with Toronto Film School carries on that tradition. It not only creates exciting educational opportunities for our digital cinematography students, but helps Canadore to better meet the needs of this growing industry in the North.”
