PM wideOn Thursday, February 22, 2018, ICEC Chairman Surinder Singh Madan was privileged to attend the ‘Indo Canada Business Session’ at Durbar Hall, Taj Diplomatic Enclave, New Delhi.

The event was one of two business sessions organised by the Indo-Canadian Business Chamber (ICBC) in partnership with the Canada-India Business Council (C-IBC) on the occasion of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s visit to India between February 17 and 23. The session featured an address by Prime Minister Trudeau and a strong turnout of government and business leaders from both countries.

During the state visit, Prime Minister Trudeau met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the two leaders re-affirmed their dedication to working closely to advance mutual growth and prosperity, recognizing the special relationship between the two countries. Prime Minister Trudeau toured the country with stops in Agra, Amritsar, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and New Delhi, conducted round-tables with business leaders, and met with some of India’s most influential business tycoons, ultimately securing a $1 billion investment deal that will produce 5800 new jobs in Canada.

ICEC was honoured to take part in this momentous occasion and meet dignitaries from both countries, and we thank C-IBC and ICBC for organising this fruitful event. ICEC is dedicated to promoting Canadian education in India and fostering stronger bi-later relations between our two countries. We invite institutions to connect with us to explore avenues to promote transparency and strengthen channels of communication in the Indo-Canada education corridor.
