Prof. Abhay Kumar
Prof. Abhay Kumar had acquired his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Business Management, HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar Garhwal. He had completed his MBA from Motilal Nehru Institute of Research and Business Administration (MONIRBA), University of Allahabad in the year 1980. He had also been the elected Social Secretary of the prestigious Dr. Amaranatha Jha Hostel (Muir Hostel), University of Allahabad.
Prof.Abhay Kumar has a total work experience of more than 41 years. He has been an entrepreneur for 3 years and worked in the industry for over 16 years as Senior Manager- Personnel. However, he has keen interest in the field of Marketing Management; Strategy being his forte. He has more than 22 years of experience in Teaching and Research. He has a good number of research papers published to his credit. He has worked in senior positions at various Universities of repute. He has been supervising Ph.D, M.Phil. and MBA students in their research work and projects. He has also been the Principal Investigator of Govt. Sponsored Projects during his career.
He has organized and chaired several national and international Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, Symposiums, and Colloquiums. He has also been the Key note speaker/Chief Guest at a number of Conferences, Seminars etc. and been instrumental in the organization of various FDP’s and MDP’s. He is a member of numerous bodies related to higher education and is on the Board of Management, Advisory Board as well as Member BOS and RDC of a good number of Institutes and Universities. He is also on the Advisory Board of many corporate organizations and NGOs.

Prof.Abhay Kumar has also been instrumental in successfully introducing the concept of “Mentorship” at the institutional level in the past. He has vast experience in training, motivating, and counseling the student fraternity and faculty members.
In his last assignment Prof. Abhay Kumar has served as Vice Chancellor of a reputed University in Himachal Pradesh.
Prof. Abhay Kumar is presently Vice Chancellor at Pratap University, Jaipur (Rajasthan) having commenced his second three year term at the University.
